Moo and Jim were up at their place in Franklin for a couple weeks this summer, so we decided to head out and visit for a weekend. It had been March since our last visit, so it was great to see them and for little man have some quality time with his Mam-Moo and Pop-Pop Jimmy. Gray opened up some birthday gifts a little bit early, and boy did he score! His favs- a remote controlled train (he is in LOVE with this) and a fishing set.
We went to Cliffside Recreations area on Sunday and had a great time swimming, picnicking, and enjoying the day- thank goodness it was a bit cooler near Highlands! It was the hottest weekend of the year so far- temps reach over 100 in Hickory, but where we were was a high of 80! Whew!
On Monday afternoon we headed to the Fun Factory and played some video games and enjoyed the cooler temps inside before heading back home. We had such a great time. Thank you Mam-moo and Pop-Pop for all the gifts and for the great visit!
