This weekend we headed out to Franklin to stay at Mam-moo and Pop-pops place. Minus Mam-moo and Pop-pop. :( It's so nice to have a FREE getaway in the mountains. Thank you Moo!
We got in after dark on Friday, so we weren't sure how the leaves looked, but on Saturday morning we woke up to their brilliant show. Grayson was enjoying a lazy morning in bed after our snuggle time, so mommy got to enjoy a baby free and quiet breakfast with dad. It was perfect!
View out the kitchen window on Saturday morningLater in the day we headed to downtown Franklin for the Pumpkin festival, complete with pumpkin rolling! We had a great time, enjoyed the people and costume watching. We saw clever costumes like a jellyfish, freudian slip, and a carton of milk. The pumpkin rolling is the big event at the festival. You purchase a mini pumpkin and roll it, crossing your fingers that yours rolls the farthest in order to win the $100 prize. Some of those pumpkins traveled up hill!
